Leading hotel companies in the Americas 2022, by number of properties

As of June 2022, the Wyndham Hotel Group was the leading hotel company in the Americas, accounting for nearly seven thousand properties in the region. Choice Hotels International and Marriott International stood in second and third place, respectively.

The total number of properties owned by global hotel chain Wyndham amounted for nearly nine thousand units in 2022. In terms of guestrooms, the company had just over 810 thousand that year. This figure was roughly 520 thousand hotel rooms less than Marriott International’s total.

Customer satisfaction

Hyatt Place and AC Hotels by Marriot were some of the highest-rated upscale hotel brands in North America in 2022. When it came to North America’s mid-scale hotel brands, Wingate by Wyndham led the 2022 list with a customer satisfaction index score of 849. The guest satisfaction scores were measured on a one-thousand-point scale. Several factors, such as reservation, hotel services, cost and fees were analyzed to determine the overall satisfaction score.
